FOR THE HOME: first peek at our new rug
Last Friday our new rug (remember THIS post??) finally arrived and I am super smitten with the way it has transformed our living area!! It was quite an ordeal to get this rug since the first order was cancelled by Westwing and then when this one was available I thought it was too small. But I decided to take a chance on it and am sooo happy with the end result. I actually prefer the pattern of this rug over the one I had initially ordered and I am also glad we got a smaller one, since anything bigger probably would have been way too much for the space! I plan on taking a few better pictures later this week and will have a detailled post coming up in a few days.

After living together for almost 5 years, Mike and I have come to find our own style and are looking to invest into pieces we’ll have for years to come. So rushing into things was not an option and we wanted to spend our money well on things we absolutely love. I always knew a rug was missing in the living room to bring together the room and make it feel more cozy. The distance between our TV and sofa is close to 6 meters (almost 20 feet) and so the space felt a bit empty. Over the past few months I had been pinning lots of pretty patterned rugs onto my home inspo board and even asked for your help on Facebook. But most rugs I liked were either far out of our budget (who knew a rug could cost 4.800€ ?!) or didn’t ship to Austria. So to make a long story short: Today I finally found a rug I simply ADORE and ordered it!! Miss Kathi helped me decided on a color and I am SO happy with the blue patterned rug by Jill Rosenwald that will soon be a major focal point of our living room! My order was actually cancelled 2 weeks after placing it, due to not enough stock! But I found a similar rug (much prettier!!!) a fews weeks later – see it HERE! […]
Schaut ganz toll aus,da hat sich das Warten gelohnt! Wir sind auch auf der suche nach einem neuen Teppich,mir würde eurer (nur in Grün) gefallen! Wie ist denn die Qualität und wie fühlt sich der Teppich an? Ich “spür” bei solchen Sachen gerne 🙂

Also ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der Qualität!! Der Teppich ist zu 100% aus Wolle und fühlt sich auch echt gut an. Ist stabil (nicht dünn und hält die Form sehr schön) und ist auch “weich” … so weich es bei Wolle halt geht 🙂 Ist aber halt kein flauschiger langhaar Teppich! Aber das wollte ich nicht, weil das so viel Schmutz und Staub fängt! Aber ich würde ihn auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Der Teppich passt wirklich perfekt in euer Wohnzimmer! Die Größe passt genau und ich finde durch ihn wirkt der ganze Raum gleich viel freundlicher und gemütlicher. 🙂

I do 🙂 I buy fresh flowers at least once a week (usually twice because I am such an addict …). I have 3 different places where I always have to have fresh flowers: On the coffee table, on the dining table and by our entrance way. Just makes me smile every time I walk by <3

ich stimme dir zu, ich finde unsere Boxen eigentlich auch ziemlich hübsch … das weiß passt super zur Einrichtung und ist nicht zu aufdringlich. Aber leider kenn ich mich da nicht soo aus, da mein Freund das alles ausgesucht hat. Ich glaube die Marke ist KEF und die Serie ist IQ90 oder so … aber wie gesagt, bin da leider nicht die Expertin 🙁

das ist eine Kommode von Interio, die wir ein bisschen umgestaltet haben. Eigentlich gehört vorne noch eine extra Schublade rein und in dir Rückwand haben wir runde Auslässe für die Kabel gesägt.
