CRAVINGS: a touch of lace.

Lace is usually associated with elegant, feminine pieces and looks. However, I love the idea of mixing a luxurious piece, such as a lace body with casual cut-offs for an unexpected twist. Or, wearing comfortable sneakers, that are made of lace – instantly giving them a more special touch! Trade the shorts for a high-waisted pant and the lace sneakers for some pumps, and you’ve got yourself a perfectly fancy evening outfit that is not only elegant, but also a bit daring with the lace bodice worn as a top. Plus, black and white always works!

  • Triumph “Amourette” lace body: I recently received this body as a gift and it was love at first sight. The lace is absolutely stunning and it fits like a glove – not to mention that it creates a beautiful silhouette. It is almost too pretty to keep hidden underneath a chunky knit or jersey dress, so I am currently trying my best to come up with ways to wear it as outer wear. I guess you could call it the inspiration for today’s cravings.
  • Superga lace sneakers: These super cute sneakers have been on my wishlist for months, but sold out before I had a chance to grab them. Now, they are back in stock and I already hit order – not letting them get away for a second time!
  • Kate Spade NY sparkler ear jacket: I am all about ear jackets at the moment. They are so much more of a statement piece than regular earrings and I’ve been getting tons of compliments for the pair I own. Last week, I spotted the pearl version of these on Shopbop and instantly had to have them (did you spot them on my desk?).
  • MANGO white blazer: While I own plenty of black blazers, whites are a bit more rare in my closet. During Summer, however, I’d much prefer white over black, so I am on the lookout for a sleek and timeless white blazer like this one.
  • ONE TEASPOON “Raw Bandits” shorts: These cut-off shorts are the perfect piece of clothing to break the fancy feel of a lace piece. It’s all about mix and matching. High with low and elegant with casual. Plus, these are currently on sale for -40%!
